Simple Truth
Everybody wants Gold, ironically it’s nothing old
We want the best sold, better than what the rest hold
good things are for free, we choose honey and leave the bee
take fruit leave the tree, because outside is only what we see
life gives a knife in every strife, so we need a rife husband or wife
that’s why we are in such pain, because we are stuck with the villain
we try to change them in vain, but we will sadly end up being slain
mind who you chase, mind who you case
mind who you race, mind who you ace
for beautiful souls are few if we knew, with one life will always be new.
_kamash.
Honestly, I hate where the truth LIES.
Motorcycle Helmets
A helmet is on of the most important safety factor when anyone decides to get motorcycle. The motorcycle riders is more susceptible to crash situations and crash statistics paints a severe picture. Majority of the people do not realize the importance of wearing a good motorcycle helmet regardless of repeated warnings and horrific stories of crash victims.
In motorcycle accidents, head injuries are the most common cause of deaths. A rider without helmet is most prone to injury or death in case of any accident. The death or injury could have been avoided by using helmet as it absorbs much of the force of impact. Now many countries have approved laws requiring motorcycle riders to wear helmets
How a Motorcycle Helmet Works
Most of the helmets are made of plastic material and are designed with exclusive crumple zones which can absorb most of the shock on impact. Some helmets are made up of a combination of carbon fiber and Kevlar and hence are expensive.
The interior of the helmet is padded so that it can fit more safely and offer more protection. Helmets are designed with the intention that they crack and break from particular areas because of the shock they absorb in case of a collision.
Types of Helmets
The selection of helmet depends on various factors including the type of motorcycle clothing, weather conditions, whether it will be used for sport and for what type of sport.
Following are the types of helmets specially made for motorcycle riders are:
Full Face Helmet: It provides the best cover for the head and face. The face shield prevents injury to the face and head in case of crash and protects the rider from rubble and insects that could disrupt the rider’s attention.
The Modular Helmet: it is also referred to as the flip up because the front portion can be pivoted upwards. When modular helmet is closed, it resembles the full face design.
The Motocross: Especially made helmet for riders of dirt bikes. It provides extra safety to chin area and visor. For full protection goggles are needed because motocross has an open face design.
The Open Face: This helmet covers the head but gives no protection to chin area.
Half Helmet: It provides less protection in case of a crash so it is recommended for short distances.
Motorcycle Safety
Following guidelines should be remembered for motorcycle safety.
1. Discard the helmet which once protected you in a crash even if it appears undamaged.
2. Riders should use different helmets for day and nighttime riding. For instance, darkened shield of full face helmet can blur the vision at night and increases the chances of an accident.

Fond memories of summer
Written by Black Entertainment USA
Back before I left for the APA Las Vegas National Tournament I had the chance to go to a car wash. This was an event to help raise money for the other Central New York team that was also going to Las Vegas.
The car wash was a bit different. The ladies of the team were the ones doing the work. And they had the best sales gimmick. Suffice to say that they pulled in many cars.
I didn’t get video of it, but one of the funniest things had to be an older couple (in their 70’s) that came into the car wash. The wife was right in the passenger seat and fully enthralled. You just had to see that.
Or the 4 guys that came back 5 times, in each of their cars and then borrowed a neighbors car.
I think the video will explain why.
Diwali Wishes
The sweet smell of flowers,The array of colors
Diwali is here,Firecrackers are heard
Candles are lit,Children play
Presents are given,We pray to the gods
Diwali is here…
Paying respects to the gods,
And decorating for them the thali,
This is what the occasion is all about,
This is the spirit of Deepavali…….
As echelons of zillion lights adorn,
and echoes of triumph and thunder swarm,
watching even a tiny gleam perform,
devoring ill,
sparkling joy despite forlorn,
exhorts a hearty & happy year merely born…
HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL…
Deepavali is here, Deepavali is here
That grand festival of Lights
That ends evil after a protracted fight
When good with all its might
Leads us from darkness to Light…..
APA challenge - can a rank 4 beat a rank 7 in 9-ball?
Written by Black Entertainment USA
From time to time I have discussed the American Poolplayers Association league that I play in. Located in Endicott New York, I play in the 8-ball and 9-ball leagues.
Most notably I have commented on how my 8-ball team qualified and went to the Las Vegas APA National Tournamnet this summer. And I provided a bit of video of not only me but the rest of my team.
But I have not given my 9-ball team (playing out of Guys and Dolls Pool Hall in Endicott) as much attention. Because while I am good, no one player is a team. And while I am captain, and my team is currently leading the fall session, this would not be tryue without a great team.
So I decided to show a bit of video on some of the rest of my team. this one focuses on Gary Hinkley (the man in the video). He is ranked a level 4 - though he may go up a level after this game. he is playing a level 7 player (the woman in the video). This is the last rack of their match.
You can see why Gary is one of the leading players in the league, and a great asset to my team. And yes, Gary did win the match. 18 - 2.
More on the rest of my team soon.

Brawlin at the Belmar 2009 - pro competition
Written by Black Entertainment USA
To give all my readers a feel of what was seen by those at the 3rd Annual Brawlin at the Belmar BMX Dirt Jump Competition, I decided to fix a camera just on the ramp and capture every jump of the pros. This way you get to hear the reactioon of the crowd and see exactly what the pros did.
The feild of pros was no small group. They included X-Games champions, the winner of the 2008 Belmar competition (Chris Doyle who I interviewed), a local Central New York pro, and a couple of guys from as far as Australia. And the competition was firce. They were all going for the win, and the enjoyment of the crowd.
You really could tell they were all experts as there were many great trick jumps, lots of air off the ramp, and very few crashes or failed jumps. Considering the degree of difficulty, I really was impressed by several of the BMX pros. Though I think that age and experience really too the stage as the older bikers seemed to have the edge.
The following video is basically uneditied. It’s the first couple of competition runs for the pros. Out of this group 5 finalists were picked, and they had 4 runs each. I will have a video of that as well.
Pros in the competition include in order:
Adam Rich, Mike Potasney, Ryan Worth, Garrett Williams, Tom Arkiss, Tom Dylan, David Kaye, Chris Doyle, Ben Hill, Tim Rose (Australia), Kye Ashworth (Australia), Chip Slaterly, Pete Schmidt, Brian Foster, Chris Childs
I also plan to make a video of the very best jumps by the pros from the competition. Just give me a bit of time to edit through all the video I took.
Brawlin at the Belmar 2009 - Chris Doyle interview
Written by Black Entertainment USA
The first in my series of videos about the 3rd annual Brawlin at the Belmar BMX Dirt Jump Competition held at the Belmar Bar in Binghamton New York is an interview I was able to get before the pro competition with Chris Doyle.
Chris Doyle is a 16 year veteran pro of BMX, a stunt biker, and the 2008 winner of the Belmar competition. He is from Pittsburgh PA, and a really pleasant guy. In addition he is one of the featured riders/actors in an upcoming film of BMX called Xcelerate (I may have misspelled the title) by director Eric Bugbee [more on the movie soon].
The video contains a couple of teaser practice jumps, photos of Chris Doyle in mid-air, and my interview with him.

Las Vegas: Bellagio Water Show
Written by Black Entertainment USA
One of the sites in Las Vegas that I would reccomend is the Bellagio Water Show. If you have seen the Ocean’s Eleven remake (with Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, and Don CCheadle et al) then you saw part of the show at the end of the movie.
At 10 pm, and roughly every 15 minutes there after, there is a different display of the water jets in front of the Bellagio Hotel Casino. It is a mix of lights, water sprayed jets, and music. Generally they last about 3 - 5 minutes each. I saw a show to Frank Sinatra, a classical piece of music and the theme to the Good The Bad and The Ugly.
Here is a video of the show to the latter of the shows I watched. It’s the best video I could take at the time, but I think it is a great display. And if you are wondering the major water blasts get up about 50 feet or more and are awesome so see. It all sounds like a fireworks show or cannons when the jets go off.
Eulogy
I would like to first thank you all for coming. It means a lot to us as a family to have people that Vito loved and that loved him around us.
So here we are. All gathered together to mark the end of a VERY long journey of a man we knew and loved..
When asked by his son what it takes to be a man, Rudiard Kippling once wrote
“If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With 60 seconds worth of distance run.
Than yours is the earth and all that is in it
And what is more you will be a man, my son”
Well if that’s the stuff that men are made of, then I can certainly say that my dad made one hell of a run out of that unforgiving minute.
Many of you here know my dad’s past. ..
Here is a man born here in this country only to be uprooted and moved to Italy before he was even a teenager. There, through hard work he earned a full law degree, Then through the course of history ended up being a POW in occupied Italy for over 2 years. I can’t even imagine what that must have been like.
When that was over he made his way back to the states, a virtual stranger there, after all of those years, and what did he do?
Started law school all over again here. Only THIS time he did it with a Wife, a child (my sister Lorraine) and a full time job. Geez…That alone is something. I joke with my sister sometimes that if I go to the bank and the cleaners on a workday, I’m, like, “WHEW! What a day!”
Through the years, through ups and downs, dad continued to grow our family as my sister Christine and I were born. And although I always remember him working hard, he always found time to take us on vacations and play with us….. To guide us.
Many of you remember the passing of my mother and the sadness that brought to us. Again my dad did his very best to try to keep normalcy in my family through those hard times. I know myself and those he cared for always felt the concern he showed at how we would take that loss, and I must thank him for that because it helped ease the blow.
Vito, no stranger to new beginnings DID go on to find love again and years later took Mary into his heart and married her. They stayed married for 23 years sharing love and happiness til his death just a few days ago. Again taking time out to help guide his new family and children Philip, Frank, and Vinny who I know he cared for deeply.
One thing about my dad is that he always knew how to make investments grow, and his family life was no different. The guiding and caring for the children he loved paid off. And BOY did our family grow. TWENTY beautiful grandchildren. TWENTY!!…All great kids. All filled with love. All taking different paths but I like to think, at least in some way, that Vito helped keep them on the right path.
Ya catching a pattern here????….. Him taking people into his heart?… Into his life and guiding them… Watching them… Taking responsibilty for them.
My sister and I were talking about the SO MANY people that have approached us these last few days, not only telling us how much they loved Vito but how he has helped them. Helped them start out in life, helped them with money, helped them with advice… Man did he offer great advice. As his son, my one regret in life is that I didn’t heed his advice more often *sighs* But I guess that is every son’s regret.
So..How has HIS life helped me shape mine??……Helped you shape yours??
Most of you here knew my dad.. He wasn’t the type to bounce you on his knee and say, (Deep voice) “Come here son and let me teach you how it is done”
It was more like him yelling something, like (Mimic him yelling) “ARE YOU CRAZY!!..WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? DO YOU USE YOUR HEAD EVER??!!”
He would yell…That’s how he expressed himself. And we can laugh about it. We’ve always laughed about it. And the reason we could laugh is because in truth, it was never a “menacing” yell. It was always with concern..
I really don’t think anyone would consider him a “crabby” old man. In fact if ya really think about it. He was just the opposite. He was quick to laugh and quick to make you laugh. He LOVED a good joke. Was always telling them or sending them online. And he was good natured.
Ya know, I always considered my more endearing qualities..My gentleness, my fun-lovingness, my kindness, to be traits that came from my mother. But it wasn’t til I sat down to write this eulogy that I realized how many of the better parts of my personality come from my dad.
And here’s the kicker. It all came through example. THAT is how he taught me to be a man. That is how he taught all of us to lead a better life. Through example.
Working EVERY day to provide for his family. Taking time out for vacations or to take me fishing..Coming to our school plays. Spending time with neighbors and friends laughing. Helping others. And he NEVER complained. NEVER. He just took life in stride.
He also taught me ethics in life. Don’t get me wrong. He wasn’t “SAINT Vito”. I can still hear him yelling at me before job interviews.
(Mimic dad) “Whatever they ask you say YES…LIE..Just say you can do it”
But all in all I learned NOT to lie to those I love. I learned how not to show voilence to express myself. How not to take the favors or kindness from others for granted. How never to act as if I am better than anyone else.
You provided a life for your family…All of us.. filled with joy and love. You instilled the value of family in our hearts so deeply that there is a closeness in us, all of us, that can’t be broken. And that value will live on forever as we pass it on to our children. This is your legacy dad. Our family…YOUR family. And as a family we will mourn your death today, but you will live in our hearts forever..
You taught us SO MANY things… And now that the lessons have come to an end there is nothing left to do but to say Thank you.. Thank you dad for all you have taught us, given to us, showed us. Thank you for.. Well……. For just being my dad. I love you
No middle class taxes! Are you sure?
Written by Michael Vass
Much like myself, Neil Cavuto has been discussing the fact that the Obama economic plans are doomed for failure. My words not his. But his words do include the statement that all the spending will result in taxes for the middle class. Something that he went over today.
So the real question is when will the Obama Administration break this campaign promise, and how much will it cost the average American?
Anyone want to take odds?

Oscar Grant murder - commentary by Michael Vass
Written by Michael Vass
I have listened to the news today and so far I have yet to hear of news about Oscar Grant. I have heard about Adam Herrman who has been missing for 10 years, the UN discussing Israel and Gaza, and Obama having lunch with all the living former Presidents. I have heard that the best way to lose weight is to eat less, and that Senator Harry Reid is backing down and accepting the appointment of Roland Burris. I even saw a bit on the fidelity of Brad Pitt.
I still have yet to hear about Oscar Grant. Which has my anger boiling, and reminds me why I made a video commentary last night. I went through a couple of versions before my emotions calmed a bit.
The news media is failing America. In not discussing the why of what happened we are failed. In not discussing the cold-blooded act itself we are failed. And I for one will not stand for it.
Here are my thoughts.
