A friend of mine was just bitching and moaning about his son. He’s not mature ……… He’s not doing the right thing …… He needs to set goals. This is what I told him.

You don’t realize that you don’t know everything until you’re 30 years old and for the next 30 years, your parents look smarter and smarter.

So You Want to be a Porn Star?

I was about to go to sleep last night and my wife was watching a show on Cable TV in which they were interviewing a female porn star.

A woman from the audience asked about the general looks of the men on the screen insinuating that they need better looking guys.

The porn star replied that she thought that it will always be a problem in the porn industry because only about 10 guys in the world could do the job.

And then I was thinking, she knows much more about the industry than I do. Only 10 guys in the world can do it. Geez, if her statistics were accurate, that would be one heck of an accomplishment. So, you wannnna be a port star?

Hammerin Hank Should Finally Get His Due

As Barry Bonds broke Hank Aarons record, we should finally come to realize how great Aaron was. We all know that, right. Guess again.

This morning, I was listening to Mike Greenberg on ESPN Radio and something he said really grabbed me. By the way, I’m a fan of the Mike and Mike show.

Greenberg was talking about the breaking of the record by Bonds and how important the record was. He said something to the effect that when I was growing up 715 was always the number referring to Ruth’s record. Think about this - Greenberg was born on August 6, 1967 which means that he was 6 when Aaron was crowned the Home Run King. I would wonder how many black 6 year olds in the country after Aaron broke the record thought that 715 was the number. It’s amazing to me to think this but after that night in April 1974, how many white sports fans including this one actually crowned Hank Aaron as the Home Run King. Because when Mike Greenberg was growing up ( and I actually think that he was referring to the ages between 6-12, not 3). the number should have always been Hank’s new number. What do you think?

OJ Simpson equals Jack the Ripper

By Michael Vass

Perhaps it’s me but doesn’t it seem that due to the trial and the media since, OJ Simpson is considered on the same level as Jack the Ripper these days? Whether that is fair or not, it seems apparent.

The other thing I notice about this coverage, which seems to have never ended since the verdict was announced, is that it has become about the money. That is for everyone involved. The Brown’s, Goldman’s, Simpson and the ever present media.

Reguardless of what you think about it, the money and infamy are just wrong. At least I think so.

What Parents Shouldn’t Do !

I was just talking to a friend about keeping your children grounded. I asked him, “How do you live in a nice home and drive a nice car and still keep your children grounded?”

Here’s his reply.

“I had a friend whose child was drag racing and the guy that he was drag racing with actually killed someone. His friend’s child was distraught because his car was badly damaged when he avoided the pedestrian in the accident. The father surprised the child with a new car. The new car was the exact replica of the damaged car, a $130,000 Mercedes.”

Keeping your children grounded starts with the parents.

Senator Clinton Has Lost Her Mind

According to Senator Clinton in an interview on CNBC a few minutes ago, the problems in the sub-prime debt market are the lenders fault. It is simply amazing that the Senator will say anything to get elected. Connect yourself to the hot topic.

Does anyone in the entire country really believe that this is not the same person who would say, “We need to give first time home buyers a chance to buy a home.”

When they do and can’t pay the bills, it’s the lenders fault. Simply unbelievable.

In 2004, Senator Clinton was cheering the Federal Home Loan Bank.

I Bet Myself and Won

I bet myself that after hearing about the execution syle murders in New Jersey, I wouldn’t hear anything about this from racial activists like Al Sharpton and Reverend Jesse Jackson. It was a sucker bet.

I visited Al Sharpton’s website and saw much in the news about Abner Louima 10 years after he was a victim of police brutality. I guess the hoods in New Jersey don’t matter to the Reverend.

After contacting the Rainbow Coalition, I was told by a lady by the name of Mema that no statement has been released as of yet.

Did you ever ask yourself why?

If Barry Bonds Could Do it Over Again

If Barry could do it over again, would he take steroids? Of course, I have no proof that he did but it seems that most believe that he did. Of course, he wouldn’t have tied Hank’s record if he didn’t take steroids. However, there’s little debate that this guy is one of the greatest players that ever lived. It’s that simple. What do you think?

I Need Some Yellow Paint

This is a recent quote from Donovan McNabb, quarterback of the Eagles:

I’m a supporter of Vick,” McNabb said Tuesday at Lehigh University. “That’s because I’m a good friend of his and also we’re guys that obviously compete to win the Super Bowl. We push each other. Now, I don’t know exactly what happened in that situation, and I think for all of us that have read over the stuff that was over the Internet, the report, you look at it as kind of like, ‘Wow, you’ve got your so-called friends and family members turning their back on you now to make their situation better.’ They’re throwing you under the bus so that they can clean their name. That’s unfortunate. That goes to show, I always have a saying that I’ve always lived by: If you can’t trust family, who can you trust? It’s an unfortunate situation, and I just hope everything works out well for him where he can get back out on the field.”

I think I’m investing in yellow paint so I can sell it to Syracuse University so their student athletes can find the classroom. Memo to Donovan: It’s clear their name, not clean their name. P.S. They’re not clearing their name, they’re pleading guilty genius. let me guess, pre-law major?
